How does using LPG help the environment?
Environmental benefits of LPG include a potential 50 per cent reduction
in tail pipe emissions and a reduction of 15-20% in CO2 emissions.
How will running my van on LPG save me money?
The retail price of
LPG (Autogas) is approximately half the price of diesel or petrol.
This is because the tax is far lower for LPG
in recognition of its environmental benefits, and also because it
is produced as a by-product of oil extraction and refining operations.
The UK produces a surplus of LPG each year.
Will I be exempt from Congestion Charging?
Our new Ford Transit with petrol/LPG bi fuel conversion by Gastech
will meet European Emissions Levels Stage IV and qualify for 100%
exemption from London Congestion Charge, under current legislation.
(worth up to £2016 per year, based on £8 per chargeable
day - excluding Bank Holidays).

What is LPG?
LPG stands for Liquefied Petroleum Gas and is the generic term for
commercial propane and butane. It is also referred to as Autogas.
At room temperature it is a gas, but when pressurised it turns into
a liquid, allowing for easy transportation and storage.
What happens if I run out of LPG?
Gastech install the latest fully automated LPG dual fuel systems.
If the Vehicle runs out of LPG, it will automatically change over
to run on petrol.
Where can I refuel?
There are now over 1,300 LPG refuelling stations in the UK.
Please view the following web address for of LPG filling stations.

Because LPG is now a regular sight at fuel pump forecourts; because
it offers such dramatic savings over petrol or diesel; and because
it is a cleaner fuel, there has never been a better time to switch
to an LPG Ford Transit.
